November 24th marked twenty years since the death at the age of 45 ofFreddie Mercury, the lead vocalist of Queen, would have turned 65 on 2011 had his life not been prematurely ended by AIDS.
Mercury formed Queen, one of the most successful bands in the history of rock and roll, in 1970 with guitarist Bryan May and drummer Roger Taylor. During their 20 year career they released twelve albums, selling more than 170 million copies.
